The Stock Market Game
The Stock Market Game lets students build financial literacy and business skills through hands-on experience managing a virtual portfolio in a real-world market simulation.

Event Information
Students in the FBLA SMG may work individually or in teams of two to five members to build and manage a successful investment portfolio of stocks, bonds, and mutual funds, using a hypothetical $100,000.
They track their investments over the course of 10 weeks, receiving valuable opportunities to practice math, critical thinking, problem solving, and research skills as well as essential real life money skills.
FBLA SMG portfolios are ranked by percentage growth compared to the S&P 500 Index. Top performing portfolios in each division (middle school, high school, and college) will be publicized through FBLA.
Participation in the Stock Market Game also unlocks access to an additional, companion experience called InvestWrite. Information about InvestWrite will be sent to advisers and Collegiate members after their participation in the Stock Market Game.

Game Terms
You must be a paid FBLA member to participate in the FBLA Stock Market Game.
Team fees are NON-REFUNDABLE and will NOT carry over to the next semester. Unused team portfolios will be deleted three weeks before the end of the session.
You must be an FBLA Adviser or FBLA Collegiate member to register for the FBLA Stock Market Game.

Note: ONLY FBLA Advisers may submit registrations for the Middle School and High School FBLA Stock Market Game competitions.
FBLA Collegiate members may register themselves or through their adviser.

NOTE: The Stock Market game will send you a link to complete the registration 2-3 business days after completing the purchase of the game in CONNECT.
- Each team can have 1-5 participants
- The cost is $10.95 per team

Registration for the Spring 2026 Stock Market Game is closed.
Awards & Recognition
The top three teams in each division will receive a digital certificate, and each team member will receive a medallion and be recognized at the National Leadership Conference during the Regional Campaign Rally & Recognition Session (for Middle School/High School) and Awards of Excellence General Session (for Collegiate)
