This scholarship is designed to recognize outstanding FBLA Collegiate members for their activity and involvement in the association. The number of scholarships given depends on yearly contributions to the FBLA Collegiate Distinguished Business Leader Scholarship fund.

Individual Award and Criteria Information:

• Open to FBLA Collegiate Members who plan to continue to pursue a postsecondary or postgraduate education.
• Must have at least one year left in college program of study to apply.
• Must be dues-paid members of FBLA Collegiate by April 15.
• Must have achieved the Gold or Silver level of the FBLA Collegiate Excellence Award.
• Must submit Distinguished Business Leader Scholarship Form by April 15 at 5:00 PM ET:
  • The completed application form.
  • A one-page cover letter summarizing FBLA, business, leadership, and community activities.
  • A resume outlining FBLA activities and educational achievements.
  • One letter of recommendation from a chapter adviser, a teacher, or a business/community leader.

FBLA’s professional attire grant program for students

This need-based scholarship provides members or chapters with $300 to purchase professional attire.

Eligibility:

• Open to all FBLA members and chapters in good standing.
• Must be dues-paid members by the application deadline.
• Applications must be submitted by November 15 at 5:00 PM ET.

Criteria & Application Information:
Middle School and High School members must complete their application with their adviser. Collegiate members can choose to complete their application on their own or with the help of an adviser.

The deadline for the 2025 Dressed to Impress Scholarship has passed.

The Pearson Futures Scholarship celebrates FBLA members who are preparing to take the next step in their education and careers. By providing financial support, this opportunity helps students continue building on the leadership, business knowledge, and experiences gained through FBLA.

Scholarship Information

FBLA is proud to partner with Pearson to offer three $2,000 Pearson Futures Scholarships for high school juniors or seniors and college or university undergraduates who plan to continue their postsecondary education. These scholarships support driven students who demonstrate leadership, academic commitment, and active engagement in FBLA while working toward their postsecondary goals. Recipients may use the award to help fund their enrollment at an accredited college or university.

Eligibility

• The applicant must be an active FBLA member.
• The applicant must be a legal resident of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia or U.S. territories.
• The applicant must be a current high school junior or senior, or a college/university undergraduate (16+).
• The applicant must be currently pursuing or intend to pursue courses at an accredited U.S. college or university during the 2026–2027 or 2027-2028 school years.
• The applicant must acknowledge that by applying for this scholarship, they consent to the use of their name, if selected as the recipient, in any and all media — including public press releases and the organization’s website — in connection with the scholarship. 

Awarding Process

There will be three individual recipients of the FBLA x Futures Scholarship and each will be awarded $2,000. 

1. Evaluation: Once the application deadline is met, the applicants that meet eligibility requirements will then be considered by a standard evaluation rubric which will score their application. Three applicants will be chosen as the scholarship recipients. 
2. Notification: The three scholarship recipients will be notified via email by June 1, 2026. 
3. Payment: The three recipients will receive their $2,000 scholarship as a lump sum payment, that will be paid directly to their intended college or university in their name. The award payments will be issued in U.S. dollars (USD). Funds may be used for all education-related expenses. The winners will be required to submit proof of their current or intended enrollment to an accredited college or university located within the United States before scholarship is awarded. The deadline to submit proof of attendance in order to receive the scholarship payment is October 31, 2027, at 11:59 am EST. Payment will be distributed directly to the college or university within 30 days of verification.

The National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) is pleased to continue our partnership with FBLA by helping to promote their mission, providing two scholarships to active FBLA members who are also current NTHS members in good standing, and providing funding for two FBLA National Conference events each year. NTHS awards over a quarter of a million dollars in scholarships to its members annually and has been the acknowledged leader in recognizing outstanding student achievement in CTE programs across the country for over 30 years. NTHS/FBLA members are also eligible to apply for the Jon H. Poteat Scholarship here.

Criteria:

• Applicants must be current, dues-paid members of both NTHS & FBLA
• Funds shall be paid directly to accredited education institutions, certificate organizations, continuing education and/or online programs.
• Application must include: Letter of recommendations from FBLA chapter adviser and NTHS adviser and 1-2 page resume detailing FBLA & NTHS involvement
• Application must be submitted by April 15, 2026 at 5:00 PM ET

Individual

The National Leadership Conference (NLC) Scholarship is a program designed to help fund conference and travel-related costs for FBLA members to attend the NLC.

The NLC Scholarship includes a $500 check, plus a complimentary registration to the NLC ($195). Scholarship money must be used for conference and travel-related expenses. Up to 50 scholarships will be awarded each year.

Not sure if you’re attending NLC? Apply anyway! If you’re unable to attend, scholarship funds will be distributed to another applicant.

Requirements
Members who wish to be considered for a NLC Scholarship must:

• Be on record as having paid local, state, and national dues by March 1 of the current program year
• Collegiate members should submit an application and accompanying materials by March 20 at 5:00 PM ET.
• Middle School & High School members should submit their applications by April 15 at 5:00 PM ET.

Application Materials
Submit the application form and attach the following required materials no later than March 20 for Collegiate and April 15 for Middle School & High School:

• PDF of resume: Resume should outline the member’s involvement in FBLA. It should also highlight leadership positions held and awards received, both in FBLA and other organizations.
• PDF of signed letter of recommendation from the candidate’s local chapter adviser or an instructor at the applicant’s college that describes both the applicant’s financial need and how the attending the NLC would help them develop personally and professionally.
• PDF of a one-page essay (double-spaced, Times New Roman/Calibri, 12-point font) addressing the prompt listed in the application.
