FBLA goes green

Maxwell High School FBLA in California went green by encouraging the student body to wear green in hopes of spreading awareness of caring for the environment. Officers put on a morning assembly with topics including reasons to be environmentally friendly, ways to be green at home and school, and a list of what can be recycled. Prizes of recycled paper notebooks and recycled post-its were awarded. FBLA also planted a tree outside the business classroom and plans to exchange and install inefficient light bulbs for energy saving fluorescent bulbs for senior citizens in the area along with an informational flyer on how they can save energy and the environment.
