News From the Mount Vernon High School chapter of FBLA in Mount Vernon, NY
The Mount Vernon High School chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) would like to congratulate our following members Imani Lawrence, Ericka Jackson and Renae Pink for becoming finalist in the state competitions. Ericka Jackson participated in the Job Interview competition where she was judged on her public speaking skills and practical skills in a real job interview setting. Imani Lawrence participated in the competition of Public Speaking 1 where she was judged on the organization of her speech and on how clearly she stated her thoughts. Lastly, Renae Pink participated in Parliamentary Procedures, which is one of the most challenging competitions of them all. She was able to received top 5 in the state leading her to be eligible for the position as State Parliamentarian. Ms. Pink will also be joining Ericka Jackson as potential State Officer – Ms. Jackson is a candidate for New York State FBLA Secretary.
