North Hunterdon High School Announces Competition Winners

Regional Competitive Events- 22 FBLA members attended the annual Central Jersey Regional Competitive Events (RCE) at Mercer County Community College on Monday, January 5, 2008.  The New Jersey FBLA held competitive events for four days to accommodate the growing number of chapters and membership with the State divided into the following sections:  North, North Central, Central, and South.  Our members had the opportunity to take an objective test, meet other FBLA members, and hear speeches from those running for State offices.  The  following honors were received.
Dylan Dextraze           Fourth Honors            Cyber Security

Steve Orlando             Fourth Honors            Technology Concepts

Steve Kolln                  Fifth Honors               Technology Concepts

Jennifer Lynch           Seventh Honors          Word Processing II

Battle of the Bands- We are holding Battle of the Bands on May 9th.  We need to set up a meeting to finalize everything. (Treasurer Yin-Chu Chen)

Grey Days- We are thinking about having more Grey Days, perhaps having them every Monday like North Nation Days.  Ms. Cottingham, supervisor of Student Activities, must be contacted to decide which days are best. (Secretary Jess Noonan)

FBLA Trip- We are trying to set up our first trip to New York City and to get inside the Stock Exchange.  Connections from Historian Colin Edwards and Secretary Jess Noonan will be helpful in planning this.

Virtual Stock Exchange- We are thinking about a virtual stock exchange in which students compete against one another.  There may be a prize for the winner. (President Steve Orlando)

Pizza Sales- More dates are now available for pizza sales, and we are also trying to find the cheapest pies. (Vice President Lindsey Mehring)

March of Dimes- We would like to take place in the March of Dimes as it is an FBLA tradition.
