Leader Feature: One of Maryland FBLA’s goals for the 2011-2012 year was to reach out to government officials to promote FBLA. On October 7, 2011, the state officers were pleased to meet that goal by meeting with Congressman Steny Hoyer at the nation’s capitol. Congressman Hoyer is the House
Minority Whip, making him the second-highest ranking Democrat in the House of Representatives. During their meeting with Congressman Hoyer, the state officers discussed FBLA as an organization, as well as current political issues. After they met with Congressman
Hoyer, the state officers met with Professional Division National President Brad Howard for a tour of the Capitol Building. The state officers enjoyed the experience and were proud to represent Maryland FBLA!
